The Celebrity series is the entry into the world of Ovation.

Here everyone can find their Roundback® original at an attractive price.

The acoustic sound alone is impressive, as the instruments in this line mainly feature solid spruce or cedar tops. For optimal sound development, a Scalloped Quartersawn X-Bracing - a crosswise arranged wooden construction to stabilize the top - is used on most models. The exception is the Elite Deluxe model, which is equipped with Quintad bracing (ray-shaped bars).

All guitars in the Ovation Celebrity series have a Nato neck and, depending on the model, are available in Mid-Depth, Super Shallow or Deep Contour Lyrachord® body versions.

The electro-acoustic signal processing starts with an Ovation Slimline pickup at the bridge of the guitar, which (as the name already says) stands out due to its slim design. The pressure point on the piezo crystals is increased by the serrated bridge inlay, which favours a particularly even sound. Before the signal leaves the guitar, it is refined by an Ovation OP4BT preamp with 3-band EQ and built-in tuner.

The instruments of the Celebrity series are divided into the Traditional and Elite lines, which are distinguished by the types of soundholes used (centre soundhole or multi soundholes). The additional Plus identifies guitars whose tops have been upgraded with special woods.

To round off the tonal quality, all Celebrity guitars are factory-fitted with high-quality strings from Adamas or Hannabach, depending on the model.

Elite

The instruments of the Ovation Celebrity Elite series are something special, both for the eyes and the ears.

They feature Ovation's signature Multi Soundholes. This innovative construction uses several small openings at the edge of the guitar top instead of a single, central soundhole.

This has two positive effects: firstly, the available vibration surface in the centre of the soundboard is increased, and secondly, the sound comes out much closer to the ear of the person playing.

In addition, the Multi Soundholes are visually enriching and are a guaranteed eye-catcher on stage.

The success story of a visionary.

More than fifty years ago, Charles Kaman brought his idea of a modern guitar to the world market.

As an ambitious guitarist, he realized his dreams and started his own guitar company with a twist, Ovation Guitars. He was inspired by traditional standards on the one hand, but also equipped with a distinct openness towards new technologies, which he owed to his roots as a developer and manufacturer of helicopters.

Kaman dared to approach guitar making in a way that is still polarizing today. A special fiber-plastic composite material (Lyrachord®) in combination with a parabolic body shape (Roundback®) were the ingredients for a completely new sound experience in the already crowded acoustic guitar market.

The final breakthrough came with the electro-acoustic version of the Ovation guitar.

Here too, Kaman's experience in the aerospace industry led the way for a development that resulted in the first piezoelectric pickup. This made it possible for acoustic guitarists to remain present even in full band arrangements, or for soloists to perform at large open-air events without compromising on sound.

This unique sound, paired with the playing comfort of an electric guitar, still makes the Ovation a must-have for guitarists in clubs and stadiums alike.

How about...?
