Silk & steel
Adamas SILK & STEEL strings impress with their balanced tone and remarkable tuning stability.
Silk & Steel strings generally sound more muted and mellow than conventional phosphor bronze strings and are softer to play. This makes them especially appealing to guitarists seeking a warm yet articulate tone, while also valuing a comfortable playing feel and reduced finger noise.
Details such as the special core wire – surrounded by multifilament fibers – as well as the solid brass ball ends contribute to above-average brilliance and presence. The proven Nuova Coated Nano coating also ensures optimum protection against corrosion, giving the strings a long lifespan.
Versatile for every style: Adamas Silk & Steel combine flexibility with rich, full-bodied tone.

Nuova Coated
The legendary Adamas Phosphor Bronze strings – now available in a nano-coated NUOVA COATED version.
The special alloy with a higher copper content already delivers outstanding tone, exceptional flexibility, and pronounced sustain. The additional modern nano-plasma coating enhances sound quality even further, yet remains barely noticeable thanks to its ultra-thin design. The warm, rich, and earthy tone speaks for itself.
In addition, the core wire is also coated, providing optimal protection against sweat intrusion and ensuring extended durability.
Anchored by a solid brass ball end, Adamas Nuova Coated strings sound significantly fuller than conventional strings. Thanks to composite gauging, they are ideal for fast playing styles while maintaining the full, rich tone expected from a high-quality acoustic instrument.
In the Nuova Coated RC versions, a round core wire is used instead of a hexagonal one. This allows the winding to sit flush against the core, resulting in longer sustain and a more balanced, overtone-rich sound.
The lower string tension at the same gauge, combined with the high-tech coating, makes for an exceptionally comfortable playing feel.

Historic Reissue
The legendary Adamas Phosphor Bronze strings, now available again as a Historic Reissue in the original specifications from 1980.
They have long been considered the high-end standard for acoustic guitars.
The special alloy with a higher copper content ensures great sound, enormous flexibility and pronounced sustain. Stably held by a solid brass ball end, they sound much fuller than conventional strings.
The composite gauging makes them ideal for fast playing, but retains the rich, full sound expected from a quality acoustic instrument.
In the Historic Reissue RC versions, a round wire is used as the string core instead of a hexagonal one. This means that the winding is fully in contact with the core wire, which produces a longer sustain and a more balanced sound, richer in overtones.
The lower string tension with the same wire thickness improves the playing feel and makes it enormously comfortable.
The Adamas Historic Reissue series includes strings for (electro)acoustic guitars and basses as well as for mandolins.
